August 21, 2020

On the 30th of July AAE was the first to sign the ‘Charter for Aviation Skills’, an initiative formed by Regional Development Australia (RDA) in partnership with Pennant International Group and the Aviation Skills Foundation in the UK. AAE is invested in playing its role in addressing the impending aviation skills shortage,  which will directly impact Defence and Defence capability.

Pennant Australasia Pty Ltd has worked with AAE for the last few years to develop and design several training devices to support the next generation of technicians. The Generic Fastener Installation Trainer (GFIT) and Aircraft Wiring Board (AWB) are just a couple of examples.

Stavros ‘Stav’ Tsolakides (Project Director – Training) said “As SMEs, both AAE and Pennant are committed in supporting the growth of the defence industry in regional Australia. AAE deliver outstanding customer service and we look forward to a continued relationship with them well into the future”.
